  1. If the current version of BIOS doesn't find passwords for your PC
  2. (all vendors) and you want to help me to implement support for it,
  3. please do the following:

  5. 1)

  7. Execute the BIOS utility with the "d" option.
  8. You'll get a file called c:\bios.dmp.
  9.  
  10. 2)

  12. There are eight possible states:
  13. 1. no passwords, security option: setup
  14. 2. no passwords, security option: system
  15. 3. only superviser password, security option: setup
  16. 4. only superviser password, security option: system
  17. 5. only user password, security option: setup
  18. 6. only user password, security option: system
  19. 7. both passwords, security option: setup
  20. 8. both passwords, security option: system
  21. Please produce each of these states once and save it 
  22. using BIOS as 1.sav, 2.sav...

  26. Then write a short text file containing:
  27. - BIOS vendor   
  28. - BIOS version  
  29. - BIOS date     
  30. - The used passwords

  34. Put all the files in a ZIP archive.
