When the automatic CD recognition is activated under Windows 95, a small program called SWING-RUNNER will automatically be accessed when the CD is inserted. You can then use this program to install SWING and DirextX 3 onto your computer, and read the README.TXT etc.
If the automatic CD recognition is not activated, the Windows Explorer can be used to start the "SWINGRUN.EXE" program from the CD.
The SWING DEMO will be copied to the directory you choose and an icon will be added to the Windows 95 start bar, which you can use to start the game. You will find the icon to start SWING in the start bar under "Programme / Software 2000".
Important:
If you have not already installed DirectX 3 on your computer, you must do this before you start to install the SWING DEMO. Start the installation from the SWING-Runner.

3. Key settings
3.1 Playing the Game
The aim of the game is to collect points by throwing three balls of the same color next to each other. All the balls of that color which are connected will then disappear. This is called "getting a THREE".
All the balls except the Extras have a weight which is indicated on them. You can use these weights to alter the see-saws. How far a ball goes when thrown depends on the difference in the weights on the see-saw.
The crane is moved by using the cursor keys in the normal way. To drop a ball, use the Cursor-Down or ENTER keys.
3.2 Function keys
F1: Help for Extras
F2: Save
F3: Joypad / joystick calibration
F4: Volume for sound effects / CD-music
F5: Music box
F6: Keyboard layout / joypad control
F7: Visual effects / ball sets
F8: System check and version data
4. Hints
Heart: When a heart is fired out to the side, it changes into a bomb on the
other side.
Bonus: After a THREE is scored, the bonus lights 4x, 3x or 2x will light up.
If you then score another THREE, your points score will be increased
accordingly.
Star: If three silver stars are lying next to each other, the whole playing area
will be cleared. The bonus rules apply to the stars as well.
5. Problems
CD music
SWING has several CD tracks containing background music. If you can not hear any music when the CD is playing, this may be caused by the following faults:
a) Your system does not have an audio cable connecting the CD-ROM to the sound card.
b) The CD volume on your sound card is set at zero.
If you have any further problems, you can call our HOTLINE on 0190 572000.
