Make a backup copy of your MYOB Plus data before starting a new payroll year. Label the backup diskette and put it in a safe place.
Make sure all payroll entries have been made for the payroll year about to be closed. If you continue through the next two windows, here's what's going to happen:
MYOB Plus will ERASE ALL PAYROLL HISTORY records for the year just completed.
Payroll history records are used to generate P11s, P14s and other payroll reports, so make sure that this data file is NOT THE ONLY COPY you have!

Payroll Tax Tables are used to calculate PAYE, National Insurance etc, on paycheques.
You will need to make sure that you have the tax tables for your new payroll year before you begin processing new payroll year paycheques.
