IBM compatible keyboards are available with either a large or a small connector. If the plug on the keyboard doesn't match the socket on the computer you can purchase a simple adaptor - otherwise they are freely interchangable and you can pick whichever suits you best.However, you might come across a keyboard from one of the original IBM PC or XT models which appear to have a standard large connector on but are electrically incompatible.......................................
