- 1. The Zip File Contents
- =====================
- Note: For each Game Environment Preset configuration,
- you must import the associated .EAP and the .SPS files
- from the respective directory.
-
- The following files are found in all four configuration modes:
- 2 Speakers, 4 Speakers, Headphones, and Live!Surround.

- 2. Unzipping the Zip File
- ======================
- The Game Environment Presets and their respective speaker setups
- must be unzipped into the correct directories. The
- default path is
- C:/Program Files/Creative/Sblive/Preset/
-
- The Game Environment Presets .EAP and speaker setups .SPS will
- be unzipped into the following subdirectories:
-
- /2 speaker
- /4 speaker
- /Headphone
- /Live!Surround

- 3. Latest drivers
- ==============
- Before you import these presets, make sure that you have
- the latest SB Live! drivers. The earlier drivers did not have
- the Import feature.

- To check whether you have the latest drivers, see the About AudioHQ
- dialog box. To do so:
-
- If there is an AudioHQ icon in the Windows System Tray
- (on the right of the taskbar):
- right-click the icon, and then click About AudioHQ.
-
- Otherwise, start AudioHQ. On the Help menu, click About AudioHQ.
-
- If the About AudioHQ dialog box displays the following version number
- On Windows 95/98: 4.05.1028 or above
- On Windows NT 4.0: 4.05.1028 or above
- you have the latest drivers.
- If the version number is not shown, go to http://www.sblive.com
- to download SB Live!'s latest drivers.

- 4. Importing Environment Presets and Speaker Setups
- ================================================
- To add the Game Environment Presets and speaker setups to your
- Environmental Audio and Speaker applets, you must import
- the corresponding .EAP and .SPS files into the applets.

- a. On the AudioHQ tabbed page of Creative Launcher, click the
- Environmental Audio and the Speaker icons.
-
- b. At the Output list on the Configuration tabbed page of the
- Speaker dialog box, select the speaker mode, and then
- click the Import Setup button.

- c. In the Import dialog box, select the .SPS file that has the
- speaker setup you want to import. Make sure you are at the
- correct file directory (i.e., 2 speaker, 4 speaker, etc.).
- The filename will appear in the Setup box.

- d. In the Environmental Audio dialog box, click the Import button.
-
- e. In the Import dialog box, select the .EAP file that has the
- environment preset you want to import. Make sure you are at
- the correct file directory (i.e., 2 speaker, 4 speaker, etc.).
- The filename will appear in the Environment box.

- f. Repeat steps (b) - (e) to import presets for more games or
- different speaker setups.

- 5. Using the Game Environment Presets
- ==================================
- When you have successfully imported the environment presets and the
- speaker setups that you want, you can use them with your games.

- a. In Creative Launcher, click the Environments tab and change your
- Environment preset to the desired game preset.
-
- b. Start your game.
