  3. SOFTWARE USE LIMITATIONS AND LIMITED LICENSE

  6. This special one-level preview version of Atomic Bomberman (the 
  7. "Software") is intended solely for your personal noncommercial 
  8. home entertainment use. You may not decompile, reverse engineer,
  9. or disassemble the Software, except as permitted by law.  
  10. Interplay Productions and Hudson Soft Co., Ltd. retain all 
  11. rights and title in the Software including all intellectual 
  12. property rights embodied therein and derivatives thereof.  You 
  13. are granted a revocable, nonassignable limited license to create 
  14. derivative works of this Software solely for your own personal 
  15. noncommercial home entertainment use and may publicly display 
  16. such derivative works to the extent specifically authorized by 
  17. Interplay in writing.  A copy of this authorization, if any, 
  18. will be provided on InterplayÆs World Wide Web site, located at 
  19. http://www.interplay.com, or by contacting the legal department 
  20. Interplay Productions in the US at +(714) 553-6655.  The 
  21. Software, including, without limitation, all code, data 
  22. structures, characters, images, sounds, text, screens, game 
  23. play, derivative works and all other elements of the Software 
  24. may not be copied (except as provided below), resold, rented, 
  25. leased, distributed (electronically or otherwise), used on  
  26. pay-per-play, coin-op or other for-charge basis,  or for any 
  27. commercial purpose. You may make copies of the Software for 
  28. your personal noncommercial home entertainment use and to 
  29. give to friends and acquaintances on a no cost noncommercial 
  30. basis.  This limited right to copy the Software expressly 
  31. excludes any copying or distribution of the Software on a 
  32. commercial basis, including, without limitation, bundling the 
  33. product with any other product or service and any give away of 
  34. the Software in connection with another product or service. Any 
  35. permissions granted herein are provided on a temporary basis and 
  36. can be withdrawn by Interplay Productions at any time.  All 
  37. rights not expressly granted are reserved.

  39. Modem and Network Play.  If the Software contains modem or 
  40. network play, you may play the Software via modem transmission 
  41. with another person or persons directly without transmission 
  42. through a third party service or indirectly through a third 
  43. party service only if such service is an authorized licensee of 
  44. Interplay.  For the purposes of this license, a "third party 
  45. service" refers to any third party service which provides a 
  46. connection between two or more users of the Software, manages, 
  47. organizes, or facilitates game play, translates protocols, or 
  48. otherwise provides a service which commercially exploits the 
  49. Software, but does not include a third party service which 
  50. merely provides a telephonic connection (and nothing more) for 
  51. modem or network play.  Authorized licensee services are listed 
  52. on the Interplay Productions World Wide Web Site located at 
  53. http://www.interplay.com. This limited right to transmit the 
  54. Software expressly excludes any transmission of the Software or 
  55. any data streams thereof on a commercial basis, including, 
  56. without limitation, transmitting the Software by way of a 
  57. commercial service (excepting those specific commercial services 
  58. licensed by Interplay) which translates the protocols or manages 
  59. or organizes game play sessions.  If you would like information
  60. about obtaining a pay-for-play or commercial license to the 
  61. Software, please Interplay Productions in the US at 
  62. +(714) 553-6655.  Nothing in this paragraph is intended to 
  63. prevent you from downloading the Software from InterplayÆs Web 
  64. site or from commercial service providers authorized by 
  65. Interplay to provide the Software to you.
