  2. In most instances THE PANDORA DIRECTIVE DEMO will run error free under
  3. Windows 95.  However, if you should encounter an error with the program,
  4. we have a few suggestions.
  5.  
  6. 1)  The program was initially designed to run under DOS.  If you have this
  7. option available to your system, we recommend you boot to DOS and run the
  8. program from there.   Under DOS the program will not incur the drastic
  9. overhead of  Windows 95 which will diminish the overall performance of the
  10. DEMO.  More memory will be available to the game which may result in
  11. performance gains in Video playback, as well as higher quality images in the
  12. VR room.

  14. 2)  If you choose to run the program under Windows 95, we highly recommend
  15. you close all other programs and restart the computer before launching the
  16. DEMO.  Anytime a program is running in the background of the DEMO, it is
  17. taking up necessary space and CPU time.

  19. 3)  If you have 8 megabytes of RAM and wish to run the DEMO from Windows 95,
  20. you may want to consider making a separate "Low Memory" configuration.  The
  21. idea behind a new configuration is to remove drivers that are unnecessary
  22. to the DEMO from memory before starting Windows 95.   For more information
  23. on creating a new configuration please refer to the README.TXT under the
  24. section "Demo Crashes or Other Problems".
