  16. 1.    System requirements for running the CD-ROM

  18. To run this disk you need the following minimum configuration:

  20. CPU:         486 CPU or greater & 6MB of free memory (RAM)
  21. CD-ROM drive:    a double-speed CD-ROM drive (300 Kbs)
  22. Monitor:    640x480, 256 colours 
  23. Sound card:    8 bit MPC compatible sound card
  24. Software:    Windows 3.1 or later

  30. To install on to a computer running Windows 3.1
  31.  
  32.     Start Microsoft Windows
  33.     Insert CD into CD drive
  34.     From Programme Manager, select File menu
  35.     Type D:\Install

  37. To install on to a computer running Windows 95

  39.     Start Microsoft Windows
  40.     Insert CD into CD drive
  41.     From the Start Button select Run
  42.     Type D:\Install

  46. 3.    Screen size and colour depth

  48. This presentation is optimised for playback on a standard 13"
  49. monitor. 
  50. If you have a larger monitor then the presentations should centre on 
  51. your desktop.
  52. The graphics are designed for 8 bit (256 colour) display and there is 
  53. little benefit in running it at a colour resolution above that 
  54. although it will substantially improve the quality of the video 
  55. playback.

  58. 4.    Running sound and video

  60. You must have at least an 8 bit MPC compatible sound card installed 
  61. since the programme contains video and music.

  63. In order to run the video sequences you must have QuickTime 2.03 for 
  64. Windows, and Video for Windows This software has been supplied on
  65. the CD-ROM.
