  1. Tomb Raider 2 Patch 1

  3. Please note: This patch is intended to resolve a problem some 
  4. users are having whereby the CD is being accessed continuously, 
  5. thereby reducing the frame rate dramatically. This patch addresses 
  6. no other issues and therefore we recommend that you install this 
  7. new executable only if you are experiencing this problem. Further 
  8. issues should be addressed in the near future.

  10. This patch is provided in the form of a self extracting 
  11. executable. The extracting routine will ask you to confirm the 
  12. directory where you wish to install the patch. By default, this 
  13. will be:
  14. "c:\Program Files\Core Design\Tomb Raider II\"
  15. , as it was during the installation of the full game. If you 
  16. installed your game to a directory other than the default, you 
  17. will be able to change the directory to where the patch will be 
  18. extracted.

  20. If you had fixed this problem by reducing the CD Audio level to 0, 
  21. you should now be able to reset it to your preferred volume 
  22. without it impacting on the frame rate of your game.
