  1. This material was submitted to me at the World of Commodore show in
  2. Toronto, by one of the users of a BBS, where it was uploaded by
  3. the authors.  It has since been posted to Usenet (twice) and I have
  4. received email from one of the authors indicating that it is OK to
  5. include it in the library.  For reference purposes, this email and
  6. the headers of the Usenet postings are included below.

  8. This is a VERY NICELY done game.  One of the nicest features is that,
  9. unlike many commercial games, it actually plays by the rules and
  10. doesn't require you to reboot to use it.  Maybe this just shows
  11. what can be done by dedicated games designers and programmers that
  12. really understand the machine and work with it, rather than against
  13. it...

  49. As an interested party to getting our little demo out to the world, I was
  50. wondering if you'd received a copy AMOEBA Invaders yet?  If you have, then
  51. you have our permission (as per the README file) to include it on any
  52. disk you wish to.  If you have not, then I would be willing to send you a 
  53. disk with our demo on it through the mail (or, I believe, you can FTP from
  54. the purdue archives) - or whatever.  Please let me know if you are interested
  55. in it and need to get a hold of it.

  60. PS:  You are *really* doing a great job for the Amiga community!  All of the
  61. software you put onto disks and ship out help make the Amiga one of the nicest

  79. These are the binaries to a freely-redistributable clone of "Space
  80. Invaders".  The author may be reached at SDEAN1@UVVM.BITNET.  Binaries
  81. only, for now.  Concatenate parts 1 and 2 and uudecode to form
  82. 'amoeba'.  And no, I didn't ask why it's called what it is.
