  18.   The number keys on the keyboard (0 through 9) can be programmed.

  20.   If viewing an almanac page, hold down <CTRL> 3 to set the number 3 
  21.   as a hot key for that page.

  23.   Then, to return to that almanac page, press 3 (without <CTRL> or 
  24.   <SHIFT>) at any time.

  26.   To set a hotkey to a unit or building, select that unit or 
  27.   building, then program the key by holding down <SHIFT> and pressing 
  28.   the number (i.e. 3).  To set a map location hot key, do the same 
  29.   thing without any unit or building selected.  In all of these cases, 
  30.   press the same number (without <CTRL> or <SHIFT>) at any time to 
  31.   jump back to them.

  33. * Airports should now be built about 35% faster (including ground 
  34.   clearing, etc.) Other large buildings should now be built about 
  35.   10% faster...

  37. * If the world bank forces low wages on you, the prior wages will 
  38.   now be remembered and restored, if and when the wage restrictions 
  39.   are lifted, PROVIDED that you haven't changed the building's wages 
  40.   yourself in the meantime.

  48. Troubleshooting notes (supplemental to those in the original readme 
  49. file):

  51. If you have a Voodoo 3 based card - please make sure you have the 
  52. latest/final version of the 3DFX drivers - early driver versions 
  53. can cause various artifacts in hardware mode. 3DFX drivers can be 
  54. found at www.3dfx.com
  55.  
  56. If you have stability problems - all of the following can be possible 
  57. solutions:
  58.  
  59. 1) Try not to run any other programs in the background - close all 
  60. other programs before starting Tropico.  Avoid task-switching 
  61. (ALT-TAB) out of Tropico.
  62.  
  63. 2) Make sure you have up to date video and sound card drivers
  64.  
  65. 3) Certain sound cards (Soundblaster Live) have hardware 
  66. acceleration.  It has been reported that this sometimes causes 
  67. instability or can increase sound related problems.  If your sound 
  68. stutters or you experience instability, try disabling hardware 
  69. acceleration on your sound card (if you have it).
  70.  
  71. Remember, there are a wide variety of graphics options available in 
  72. the settings menu (press <F2> in the game world), including the 
  73. ability to change resolutions, enable hardware acceleration, change 
  74. the amount of graphic detail etc.  If performance is slow on your 
  75. machine, consider running at a lower resolution, turning down the 
  76. level of graphics detail, and/or otherwise adjusting these settings.
