  7. This is the Diamond Monster 3D II Series Windows 95 Drivers version
  8. 4.10.01.0201 with Glide drivers version 2.5
  9.

  11. Existing Drivers Installed or PCI Multimedia Device shown in Device Mgr
  12. -----------------------------------------------------------------------
  13. 1) Start Windows 95 and open Device Manager (Control Panel, System)
  14.  
  15. 2) Locate the existing reference to the card it will be listed as:
  16.  
  17.        Reference Card: Other Devices / PCI Multimedia Device or
  18.                Sound, Video, Game Controllers / Monster 3D II
  19.  
  20. 3) Double Click on the card, then click the driver Tab
  21.  
  22. 4) Click Change Driver and choose Have Disk.
  23.  
  24. 5) Point to X:\WIN95 (Where X: is the drive letter of your CDROM drive)
  25.    and click OK.
  26.  
  27. 6) Select Monster 3D II from the List and click OK.  
  28.    Click OK again to save changes in Device Manager.
  29.  
  30. 7) You MAY then be prompted to insert the "DirectX Drivers for Monster 3D II
  31.    Accelerator" Disk.  Again, point to Point to X:\WIN95 (Where X: is the
  32.    drive letter of your CDROM drive) and press OK.
  33.  
  34. 8) Windows will copy the drivers from the CD. Reboot the system when prompted
  35.  
  36. 9) Install DirectX 5.0.  (If not already installed)

  40. No Current Drivers Installed

  43. 1) Start Windows 95
  44.  
  45. 2) Power off System and install your Monster 3D II  
  46.    Accelerator into a PCI slot. 
  47.  
  48. 3) Restart Windows 95 after hardware installation.
  49.  
  50. 4) Windows 95 will detect a "PCI Multimedia Device", you need to:
  51.  
  52.      Windows 95 Standard Release users: Select "Use Driver from Mfr"
  53.                                         and click OK
  54.               Windows 95 OEM SR2 users: Click the Next Button on the
  55.                                         Detection Dialog Box
  56.  
  57. 5) Point to X:\WIN95 (Where X: is the drive letter of your CDROM drive)
  58.    and click OK.
  59.  
  60. 6) Select Monster 3D II from the List and click OK.  
  61.    Click OK again to save changes in Device Manager.
  62.  
  63. 7) You MAY then be prompted to insert the "DirectX Drivers for Monster 3D II
  64.    Accelerator" Disk.  Again, point to Point to X:\WIN95 (Where X: is the
  65.    drive letter of your CDROM drive) and press OK.

  77. Problem: After installing this driver, the Control panel applet I had
  78. for a Monster 3D Graphics card is gone.
  79.  
  80. Resolution: Monster 3D II will uninstall *ANY* Monster 3D Graphics drivers.  This
  81. is to ensure only Monster 3D II drivers are on the system.
