  1. FileBack PC 3.0 (Trial Edition) - June 25, 1997 Release

  3. Thank you for taking the time to download this trial 
  4. version of FileBack PC 3.0.  This version will allow you 
  5. to use the FileBack program without having to pay for it 
  6. first, for an unlimited amount of time.  The only
  7. restriction is that the trial version will only allow
  8. two entries in the file backup list.

  10. You may order a registered copy or download new releases 
  11. of FileBack from the FileBack PC homepage at the

  16. Installation Instructions
  17. =========================
  18. After unzipping the FileBack.zip archive, locate and
  19. double-click on the SETUP.EXE program file.  You will be
  20. guided, step-by-step, through the installation process.

  22. Automatic Startup
  23. =================
  24. In previous versions of FileBack PC, it was set to auto-load
  25. at Windows startup by default.  With this installation, this
  26. has changed; in order to set FileBack PC to auto-load,
  27. navigate to the "Options" page and select the "Load FileBack
  28. at Windows Startup" option.

  30. If you later decide to uninstall FileBack PC, you will need
  31. to turn this option off before uninstalling the software
  32. to prevent an error at Windows startup afterward. 
  33. (Unfortunately, the uninstallation software being used does
  34. not take care of this situation.)

  38. Doug Johnson, the author of FileBack, has been 
  39. developing FileBack in his spare time for several 
  40. months now.  He also holds a full time job which prevents 
  41. him from accepting any telephone calls for supporting 
  42. FileBack.  However, he is always accessible via e-mail 
  43. at mos@inconnect.com.  All inquiries are answered within 
  44. a matter of one or two days.  If you are having difficulties 
  45. with FileBack, send an e-mail message describing your 
  46. computer configuration and any problem(s) you are having 
  47. in detail.

  60. be used as a FileBack source or destination.  The network 
  61. enabled version adds the ability to access network drives,
  62. and supports automatic network drive mapping.  For a 
  63. home environment the standalone version should meet all 
  64. needs.
