  39. 486 66MHz or higher with VESA compatible driver, 8Mb RAM, and 25Mb hard disk space.

  41. Recommended setup: Pentium, quad-speed CD-ROM drive, VESA compatible driver, SVGA
  42. video card & monitor.

  44. Supported: Soundblaster and 100% compatibles, AWE32, WaveBlaster, AdLib, Pro

  47. This demo's high resolution graphics require both a VESA compatible SVGA
  48. video card and VESA Super VGA BIOS Extension installed before you start the
  49. game. VESA stands for Video Electronics Standards Association. This standard
  50. allows the graphics to be displayed on any video card that is VESA compatible
  51. without the need for the game's programmers to know precisely how each
  52. individual card works.

  54. If, when attempting to run the demo, you get an error message, your video card
  55. probably needs a VESA driver loaded prior to playing. Consult the documentation
  56. and software that came with your video card on the loading of the driver, or
  57. contact your video card manufacturer.

  61. RUNNING THE DEMO
  62. ****************

  64. The Syndicate Wars Demo CD will not run in native Windows 95 mode. 
  65. It must be run from MS-DOS.
  66.  
  67. Insert the CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive and select that drive by typing 
  68. D: (where D is the drive letter identifying your CD-ROM).
  69.  
  70. To install the demo, type INSTALL and press [ENTER].
  71.  
  72. A directory will be created on your C: drive called SWARS. 
  73.  
  74. To play the game, type PLAY and press [ENTER].

  81. To uninstall the demo cd, simply delete the directory c:\swars and its contents. 
  82. You may wish to refer to your DOS manual to find out the most efficient way of doing this.
