PAUSE: Stops the game temporarily
UP: Moves snake up.
NUKE: Aborts the level.
LEFT: Moves snake left.
DOWN: Moves snake down.
RIGHT: Moves snake right.
Game Keys:
You are in the "Game Keys" section. (The section you are in is shown with a
red box.) Use this section to set up the keyboard keys which control the snake.
To select a key to change, use the Arrows on your keyboard. (The selected key is
boxed in blue.) To change a key, press ENTER. To move to the next section, press TAB.
Use the Function Keys to operate the buttons below.

Change Game Key:
You have pressed ENTER to change the key selected. The next key that
you type on the keyboard will be assigned to this Game Key.
Sound:
This section is used to turn the game's sound feature on or off. You may want to
do this if you have to play in a quiet environment or if you do not like the sound.
To turn game sound On or Off, press ENTER. To go to the next section, press TAB.
Use the function keys to operate the buttons below.
Fading:
This section is used to turn on or off the Ultra Peril Snake program's fading
feature on or off. You may want to do this if the fading takes up too much time, or if
strange things happen to your monitor when fading takes place.
To turn fading On or Off, press ENTER. To go to the next section, press TAB. Use
the function keys to operate the buttons below.
Keyboard Flushing:
This section is used to activate/deactivate the in game keyboard
flushing. If you find that you jam up the keyboard by holding down the direction keys
when you play, then turn it on. If you don't, then turn it off. Try it both ways if you
are not sure how you want it to be.
To turn keyboard flushing On or Off, press ENTER. To go to the next section, press
TAB. Use the function keys to operate the buttons below.
Save Button:
You are in the Buttons section. Use TAB to go to the next section, arrow
keys to select other buttons or ENTER to choose this button.
SAVE will write your configuration to disk so that you do not have to enter the
configuration every time you load the game. If you do not save your configuration, then
the changes you have made will remain until you quit the game.
Defaults Button:
You are in the Buttons section. Use TAB to go to the next section,
arrow keys to select other buttons or ENTER to choose this button.
DEFAULTS will set the configuration to the Default configuration. This is our
recommended setup. The keys are: UP=K, DOWN=M, LEFT=A, RIGHT=S. These keys are designed
for playing the game with two hands. Some people may prefer different keys, eg UP=I,
DOWN=K, LEFT=J, RIGHT=L (one hand.) You will have to enter these yourself.
Revert Button:
You are in the Buttons section. Use TAB to go to the next section, arrow
keys to select other buttons or ENTER to choose this button.
REVERT loads the last saved configuration from the disk.
OK Button:
You are in the Buttons section. Use TAB to go to the next section, arrow
keys to select other buttons or ENTER to choose this button.
OK will exit the configuration section. If you have not saved your configuration
to disk, a box will appear asking if you would like to do this.
Verification:
Are you sure that you want to delete the current game configuration and
change it back to the default setup? (UP=K, DOWN=M, LEFT=A, RIGHT=S)
