Version 1.2 Shareware
=====================
This version of Let's Face It for DOS includes no shareware nags and allows
complete use of the Let's Face It program. The only thing it will not allow
is for you to export or print your caricatures. Registered users will
recieve the Let's Print It sister program that will activate when you hit
the Printer Icon in Let's Face It. To decrease the size of the program
for downloading, we have made 1.2 a VGA only demo.
About AUTO DEMONSTRATION
========================
Our users have come to enjoy the tools that make creativity a part of the
Let's Face It package. We found however, that a demonstration of the tools
is worth a thousand mouse clicks! When you run this demo, you will notice
the mouse moving without any assistance from you. Don't worry, you are
not going crazy. We have recorded the mouse movements and some keyboard
activity and are playing it back for you to see the power of the molding
and tapering tools. If you do not wish to have the sequence play every
time you boot up the program, just delete the file FIT.SEQ. This file
is a SEQuence file that stores all the mouse and keyboard information
to make an EINSTEIN caricature. To stop the demo during its operation,
just hit the ESCape key.
What is "Let's Face It"! ?
==========================
Let's Face It is a desktop caricature program which allows the novice to
become a caricature artist. The program consists of a smorgasbord of facial
features, torsos and accessories. Put the pieces together, mold them to your
liking and then export them to your favourite DOS or Windows applications.
Think of how much fun it would be to lampoon yourself or a friend, [maybe
your banker or better yet, your boss!] by creating your very own caricatures.
Why stop there, you can invent an alter ego for yourself! How about a
"Shwarzeneggarian" torso? Display the caricature at the beach and nobody
will have the nerve to kick sand in your face! How about Barbie? Barbra? or
Betty? The choice is yours!
The creators of Let's Face It have simplified your task so you can sit back
and have fun. The power of Let's Face It allows you to S-T-R-E-T-C-H your
imagination to your hearts content.
Did you ever wonder how someone close to you might look in say twenty years?
Try your hand at morphing the future! In Ike's Caricature workshop, you
are the creator. The masterpiece is yours... So put on your Artist's beret
and get ready for some fun.
What Is A Caricature?
=====================
Anyone who has read a newspaper has been exposed to some form of caricaturing
in order to use Let's Face It, you may want to understand a bit more about
this entertaining art form. Some people are in fact walking caricatures,
while others are rather generic looking, yet all have one or more
distinguishing features which others are able to recognize. The key to
successfully creating a caricature is to identify those features and if
desirable exaggerate them. So go on, give it a try, if you dare, but only
if you can face the truth!
Let's Face It can produce professional quality pictures that can be used
for birthday cards, or newsletters, faxes, memos etc. With just a click
of the mouse!
A quote from Andy Donato of the Toronto Sun, undoubtedly Canada's pre-eminent
caricaturist.After working with Let's Face It! "I'm totally against this
whole program! They're trying to steal my job!"
====================================
= LET'S FACE IT, ONLY $39.95 S.R.P.=
====================================
Remember, that you only have to choose from a huge assortment of
professionally predrawn images noses, eyes, ears, hair, bodies, jewelry,
accentuations and much, much more to match even the distinctive of
personalities. The "non-linear" distortion tools in the program allows you
the budding artist to S - T - R - E - T - C - H, squash and distort to
your heart's content to create some radically bizarre and hilarious special
effects.
Let's face it, this program will provide the user countless hours of fun and

PROGRAM OPERATION:
==================
Let's Face It uses vector images instead of bitmaps. The use of
vector images (think of vector images as images created by joining lines
between dots) increases the output quality and allows for infinite scaling
of the image you create. All of the images included with Let's Face It are
professionally drawn and hand digitized for optimal quality. By using
the built in Molding and Ballooning tools and applying them to the
individual facial parts the user can create almost any image. These tools
also make it easy to create the classic Caricature look of large head small
body. All these tools happen in real time, no guessing percentages or waiting
for results. Just hold the Left or Right mouse button in and see the results!
After you have finished editing your caricature, Let's Print It
( printing/exporting program included with Let's Face It!) allows you
to add backgrounds, shadows, text balloons and line effects. For example you
may want to place your caricature in front of a mountain, summer scene or
even a dart board! Adjustable Grease, Marker and Charcoal effects are
available to give your drawing a polished look. Exporting is also available
from Let's Print It. Bitmap outputs are available as GIF and PCX. Vector
exporting exists in WMF format. This will allow you to import your picture
into other popular programs like COREL DRAW, WORD PERFECT , MS-WORD etc.
