  7. This is the Stealth III S500 Series Windows 9x Display Drivers version 4.11.01.0301.

  14. ------------------
  15. These drivers require DirectX 6.1 to support DirectDraw & Direct3D applications.

  17. It is important to note that any previous version of InControl Tools 
  18. (e.g. InControl Tools 95) must be uninstalled before installation of 
  19. InControl Tools 99 can begin. This can be done from the Control Panel by 
  20.     1.  Choosing 'Add/Remove Programs'.
  21.     2.  Select "Diamond Multimedia Product Installation & Removal".
  22.     3.  Click on the "Add/Remove" button.
  23.     4.  Then follow the uninstall process.

  25. Known Limitations
  26. -----------------
  27. InControl Tools 99:
  28.  
  29.     InControl Tools 99 shortcuts require a system reboot to take effect when
  30.     running under Windows 98.
  31.  
  32. InControl Tools 95:
  33.  
  34.     InControl Tools 95 shortcuts are not compatible with Windows 98 and InControl Tools 98.
  35.     These short cuts must be removed prior to the installation of InControl Tools 98.  We 
  36.     apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

  38. DirectDraw:

  40.     Note that the following titles do not function properly with this version of the driver.

  46. OpenGL:

  48.     Problems may be experienced when switching into or out of OpenGL applications.  Please 
  49.     refer to the Diamond website for future updates.

  51. Quake III test:

  53.     Quake III test does not operate correctly unless vertex lighting is selected.  To select 
  54.     vertex lighting, go to "system configuration", select "graphics options", and change 
  55.     the lighting setting to "vertex".  Please refer to the Diamond website for future updates.

  57. Multi-Monitor:
  58.  
  59.     Be advised that Stealth III may not operate properly in multi-monitor mode when using 
  60.     Savage4 based products other than Diamond's.  Please refer to the Diamond website for 
  61.     future updates.

  63. PCI bus master TV tuner cards:

  65.     PCI bus master TV tuner cards may not operate correctly with this version of the drivers.  Please 
  66.     refer to the Diamond website for future updates.

  69. Preparing to install the Windows 9x Driver
  70. ------------------------------------------
  71. Before installing the Stealth III display drivers, switch your display 
  72. driver to the "Standard VGA".
  73.  
  74.     1. Open your Control Panel and select Display.  
  75.     2. Select the Settings tab and click the Change Display Type button.
  76.     3. Click the Change button.  
  77.     4. Select the Show All Devices radio button and scroll to the top of the 
  78.        left window and select Standard Display Types.  
  79.     5. In the right window select Standard Display Adapter (VGA).  Click OK.

  83.     1. Run install.exe from the Install directory and the setup will guide you through the 
  84.        installation.

  86. Uninstalling the Update Wizard with Win 950a/950b
  87. -------------------------------------------------
  88. After uninstalling the Update Wizard, reboot your machine to remove Start Menu entries.
