HOW TO USE THE RESCUE DISK IMAGE
by Scott Stone <sstone@turbolinux.com>
for TurboLinux 3.0
--------------------------------------
The rescue boot/root images serve a function similar to a Slackware
boot disk - it will allow you to boot a minimal system on a floppy and
from there mount filesystems, edit files, perform basic shell
commands, and some other basic functions.
To use the rescue disks, write each one to a floppy disk:
dd if=rescboot.img of=/dev/fd0 bs=1k
dd if=rescroot.img of=/dev/fd0 bs=1k
Or, from DOS, use the 'rawrite' utility on the first TurboLinux CD-ROM
(or on our FTP site) to write the images to the floppy disks.
Now, simply boot the boot disk and insert the root disk when prompted.
Send email to support@turbolinux.com if you are unable to make this
work.
