  10. LNK:

  13. Indicates the adapter is connected to a hub or switch and
  14. is receiving link pulses. If the LNK light isn't on,
  15. check all connections at the adapter and the hub. Make
  16. sure the hub is transmitting at the correct speed and the
  17. drivers are loaded.

  19. Also, make sure you have the correct wiring configuration
  20. for the adapter to the hub connection. Some hubs require
  21. a crossover cable rather than a straight-through cable.

  23. Note that this LED will be on when running the
  24. diagnostics loopback test without a cable attached to the
  25. adapter.

  31. Standard adapters: indicates activity on the network. It doesn't
  32. always mean there is send/receive activity on this adapter. If
  33. the ACT light isn't on or blinking, make sure the hub and network
  34. are operating and the drivers are loaded.

  36. Management adapters: the ACT light is on or blinking only when
  37. direct packets or broadcast packets for this adapter are received.
  38. When sending packets, the ACT light is also active due to network
  39. acknowledgements received.

  45. Indicates 100 Mbps when on, and 10 Mbps when off.

  47. Note that 100 LED may stay on if link is broken during
  48. activity.
