  1.                     How to use this utility ----- Flash
  2.  
  3.                     * Flash 3.6    * ECSFlash   * AMIFlash
  4.  
  5.      Warning! Only for Flash ROM Using. The EPROM may be damaged if
  6.      you use this utility.
  7.  
  8.      -----------------------------------------------------------------
  9.      Q. How to distinguish EPROM and Flash ROM?
  10.  
  11.      A. Remove the label from ROM, if you found a "small window" on
  12.      it, it's EPROM. Please Don't run flash utility on your own
  13.      computer!!
  14.  
  15.      -----------------------------------------------------------------
  16.  
  17.        1. Make sure power management feature is disabled.
  18.        2. Make sure system does works on DOS real mode environment.
  19.        3. Disable all memory management application from config.sys
  20.           and autoexec.bat such as EMM386.EXE, HIMEM.SYS, QEMM.SYS ...
  21.        4. Make sure your system does supports flash ROM on_board
  22.           up_date function.
  23.        5. Make sure your system BIOS does use flash ROM, not EPROM.
  24.        6. Set flash rom enable jumper.(refer to user menu)
  25.        7. Usage:
  26.              o Syntax:
  27.                   + Flash [drive:][path] File_name
  28.                   + [path] filename:
  29.                     Specifies the location and name of the file from
  30.                     which you want to load.
  31.              O Example:
  32.                If you want to load the file C:\BIOS\ROM\TEST.ROM to
  33.                the flash rom, type the following syntax: flash
  34.                c:\bios\rom\test.rom and press ENTER. You also can boot
  35.                your system from A: to avoid loading config.sys and
  36.                autoexec.bat from your local Hard Drive.

  38.        8. When finish programing flash ROM, you have to restart the
  39.           system.

  41.      Note:
  42.  
  43.        1. This utility supports Intel 28F010,28F001 , Catalyst 28F010,
  44.           AMD 28F010, MX 28F010, SST 29EE010 ,WINBOND W29EE011 etc..
  45.        2. Sub_directory name and BIOS file name can't be same.
  46.        3. The following main chipset can be supported in the Utility
  47.

  50.         o UMC 8880 chipset - UM881x series models
  51.         o SiS 50x chipset - SI54PAIO, SI54PVIO

  53.         o SiS 551x chipset - SI55PAIO, SI56PVIO, SI57PVIO, SC58PVIO
  54.         o Intel 430FX chipset - TS54PAIO, TS54PVIO,TR5510AIO
  55.    * The flash utility ECSFlash is for universal use:
  56.         o Intel 430HX chipset - P5HX-A, P5HX-B, P5HX-LA
  57.         o Intel 430VX chipset - P5VX-A, P5VX-B, P5VX-Be
  58.         o Intel 430TX chipset - P5TX-A, P5TX-B, P5TX-AR, P5TX-LA,
  59.           P5TX-Apro, P5TX-Bpro
