  2.                            Flash Utility Readme
  3.                            ====================

  5. Please make sure that you have the correct BIOS ready and follow below
  6. instruction to reprogram the new BIOS.
  7.  
  8. [CHECKSUM.EXE]
  9.  
  10.         This utility will help you to determine if the BIOS has been
  11.         downloaded correctly or not.
  12.  
  13.         1. Execute "Checksum ********.ROM" from DOS prompt.
  14.         2. The utility will show "Checksum is ####".
  15.         3. Compare the "####" with original checksum posted on Web or BBS.
  16.         4. If they are in different, please do not proceed any further
  17.            and try to download the BIOS again.
  18.  
  19. [AMIFLASH.EXE]
  20.  
  21.         This utility will try to reprogram your system BIOS by using flash
  22.         memory technology. It will permanently  replace your original BIOS
  23.         content after flashing.
  24.  
  25.         1. Bootup the system from DOS prompt without loading any memory
  26.            manager (HIMEM, EMM386, QEMM386, ...).
  27.         2. Execute "amiflash ********.ROM".
  28.         3. After loading the new BIOS code, the utility will show "Press Y
  29.            to continue, N to reboot". If you are ready to go, please press
  30.            "Y" to proceed.
  31.         4. DO NOT turn off the power during "FLASHING".
  32.         5. Reboot the system by turn off the power after "FLASHING".
  33.         5. Press "INSERT" key (instead of "DEL") to enter BIOS setup
  34.            during POST.
  35.         6. Reload the "OPTIMAL" BIOS setting and reconfigure other items
  36.            as previous set.
  37.         7. Save & Exit. Done!

  40. local distributor for further information.
