  36.   I. CREDITCARD ADAPTER CHARACTERISTICS

  38.      This release of Xircom's CreditCard Adapters has the following
  39.      characteristics:
  40.  
  41.     -  Support for CE-A Corporate Series, IIps Performance Series, CT Token Ring,
  42.        and CreditCard Ethernet+Modem II, (CEM-2).        
  43.  
  44.     -  Intended for use with Microsoft NT version 3.51 and above
  45.

  47.  II. FEATURES OF RELEASE
  48.      =======================
  49.       The primary feature of this release is compatibility with Microsoft's
  50.       PCMCIA.sys enabler.  This enabler currently supports PCIC and PCIC
  51.       compatible chipsets.

  54.  III. MACHINE SPECIFIC NOTES
  55.       ======================
  56.      
  57.     When installing the CEM-2, the setup dialog will ask for the PCMCIA
  58.     chipset in your laptop.  Most will be PCIC or compatible.  However,
  59.         Compaq LTE Elites use an ELC chipset.  Use option one unless you have
  60.         the Compaq.

  62.     Xircom reccommends using the CEM-2 networking component at base 
  63.     address 0x200.
