  21. Known restrictions and incompatibilities
  22. ----------------------------------------
  23. 1. Chinon CDS-435 users: a last minute problem was found with
  24.    audio support for this drive.  If you have this drive, and the
  25.    audio playback is not working, please contact Anodyne Software
  26.    for assistance.

  28. 2. NeoDesk users: if you get a message that "data on the disk is
  29.    corrupted or damaged" when you double click on the CD-ROM drive
  30.    icon, or open a folder, turn off the option 'check for
  31.    executable bootsector' in NeoDesk/Set Preferences/More.

  33. 3. Falcon030 users: there appears to be a problem with specifying
  34.    a _logical_ device of Z for a CD-ROM drive.  Until this is
  35.    resolved, we recommend using logical devices such as P and Q
  36.    rather than Z.

  38. 4. TT users: all of the resident components of ExtenDOS Pro
  39.    (EXTENDOS.PRG, CD.BOS, and UNIDRIVE.DOS/UNI_BDDS.DOS) must be
  40.    loaded into ST RAM for normal operation.  If you have a system
  41.    with alternate RAM, such as the TT030, do NOT set the program
  42.    flags to load these programs into alternate (TT) RAM.

  44. 5. If you have a drive without a caddy, the EJECT button on the
  45.    CDaudio player program/accessory cannot _physically_ eject the
  46.    CD-ROM.  However, on many drives (including the NEC 25 and the
  47.    NEC 3Xp) it will _logically_ eject the CD-ROM.  This means you
  48.    will have to open the drive door and close it again in order to
  49.    access the CD-ROM.

  51. 6. If a CD-ROM drive is defined as one of the 'normal' logical
  52.    drives (A through P), the CHEETAH file copier will exit with the
  53.    message "can't access BPB".  This is a Cheetah problem.  It
  54.    examines each of the drives A through P during initialisation,
  55.    expecting them to have a low-level file system with FATs and
  56.    directories just like a hard disk; this is not the case with a
  57.    CD-ROM.  The problem can be circumvented by reinstalling the
  58.    CD-ROM drive as a logical drive between Q and Z.
