  3. Welcome to Atlantean Interactive and Queen of The Court! Please note the following
  4. instructions and guidelines for installing and using Queen of The Court!
  5.

  8. INSTALLATION
  9. ------------

  11. This program uses Apple's Quicktime for Windows to play back the movies you
  12. will see.  A runtime copy is included on Queen of The Court disc.  
  13.

  15. You may begin installation of Queen of The Court!
  16. in one of three ways:
  17.  
  18. 1 -- From within Windows File Manager - simply double click on the INSTALL.EXE
  19.      file (located inside the PC folder), directly from the CD directory.
  20.  
  21. 2 -- From Windows Program Manager - Select Run from the File menu and type 
  22.      the full path to the PC directory on the CD-ROM drive and INSTALL.EXE
  23.      i.e.  G:\PC\INSTALL.EXE
  24.

  26. The installation procedure will not copy ANY files to your hard drive but will
  27. create a Program Group (Atlantean Interactive) and Icons within the Group to
  28. facilitate play.  Once your new icons are created you can click on the Queen of The Court 
  29. icon to begin play.  Allow 15-30 seconds for THE PROGRAM to load (this depends
  30. on the speed of your hardware). Once in THE PROGRAM, allow 2-7 seconds to
  31. respond to your selections. To exit either program at any time, press Alt-F4 
  32. or click on the QUIT button, this should stop movie play and return you to Windows.

  34. System Requirements and Recommendations

  37.   IBM 80386 or compatible - 80486 will perform better
  38.  
  39.   6MB of free RAM  - with 8 MB recommended
  40.  
  41.   Double Speed CD-ROM Drive & Sound card (with Most Recent Drivers!)

  43.   Graphics Support for 256 colors (* 8-bit, 16-bit, or 24 bit)

  45.   Microsoft Windows 3.1 and above with Mouse 
  46.

  48. If you have a screen saver active, disable it prior to starting the program.  
  49. If the screen saver becomes active during the program you may lose your
  50. cursor.
  51.  
  52. Some high resolution video cards may require updated drivers in order to
  53. work properly with QuickTime for Windows. If you experience problems when
  54. starting or running the Program, contact your Video Card manufacturer to
  55. inquire about updated software for their card.

  58. * Additional Color Comments:

  60. These programs run in 8 Bit, 16 bit, or 24 bit color. To play these`programs 
  61. in other than 256 colors (8 bit), simply select the proper driver to run in
  62. either 16 bit or 24 bit (Read your Video Card Manufacturers documentation for
  63. information regarding your current Video Card's color capabilities, you may
  64. require a new Video Card to run in higher color settings). Once you have
  65. selected your new driver, simply start the program as explained under
  66. INSTALLATION. You may receive a dialogue box warning you that "you may
  67. experience unexpected results when running in other than 16 or 256 colors
  68. (8 bit), simply click the YES button and continue program play.
