- Win95 Software SuperMenu version 2.1
- ---------------------
- Short description
- -----------------
-
- SuperMenu. Popup access to the Win95 StartMenu.
- SuperMenu is a poupup-menu which makes it possible to
- select the Win95 StartMenu button from wherever the hand is
- at the moment when clicking the right mouse-button
- (alternate mouse-button).
-
-
- Installation
- ------------
-
- Download/copy/place SuperMenu files (look further down)
- to wherever you like.
- All the files must stay in the same directory.
- Works right away.
- No extra installation needed.
- Suggested storing directory: c:\suprmenu
- SuperMenu does not touch other Win95 files.
-
- GOOD IDEA: Look up on how to get a program to start
- automatically when starting win95. Do that for SuperMenu.
- It is basically done by putting a ShortCut to where SuperMenu
- is stored (like c:\suprmenu) in the
- startup directory (like c:\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp)
- This way you don't have to manually start it every time
- you start win95.
- Also look at the systemtaskbar properties and the startmenu
- programs tab.

- ------------------
-
- Also easy access to much used windows functions like
- Close(Exit)/Minimize/Maximize/Restore.
- Options for setting SuperMenu active, not active,
- enable or disable windows functions from the SuperMenu
- popupmenu like Close(Exit)/Minimize/Maximize/Restore and
- selecting between a larger popupmenu or a smaller popupmenu.
- All the options can be set thru the systemmenu of the
- active supermenu program. This is accessible thru the
- systemtaskbar and clicking the right-button (alternate
- mouse-button) on top of the active supermenu icon.
-
- The FREESPOT menuentry: It is simply a menuentry which can be
- clicked on and which removes the menu.
- It's a safe place to click, which doesn't produce any action, other
- than removing the popup menu.
-
-
- Known anomalies
- ---------------
-
- If the autohide option is selcted for the systemtaskbar, then
- supermenu needs to flash the systemtaskbar during the time
- when the Win95 StartMenu is displayed. The systemtaskbar will
- disappear after the Win95 StartMenu is no longer displayed.

- Additions from version 2.0 to version 2.1
- -----------------------------------------
-
- - Tried to come up with a better solution when
- SuperMenu pops up close to screen-borders.
- Instead of popping up in the middle of the screen,
- SuperMenu now pops up above the cursorpostion if
- close to screen-borders. If cursorposition is
- in one of the four screen-corners, then SuperMenu
- pops up below or above the actual cursorposition.
- This is done so that the SuperMenu popup doesn't
- collide with a possible context-menu.
-
- - It is now possible to train SuperMenu in such a way
- so that SuperMenu does not get activated on top of
- certain areas/windows. This is done by keeping down
- the Shift and Control key on the keyboard at the same
- time as clicking the right-mousebutton (alternate mouse-
- button). Then, a dialogbox shows up with information which
- identifies the window the cursor was on top of before
- the dialogbox where displayed. The user will then be able
- to disable SuperMenu activity on top of this window.
- It is also possible to enable SuperMenu activity on top
- of a windows which was previously disabled.
- It is possible to disable SuperMenu activity on top
- of as many as 10 areas/windows.
-
- - The timerintervall on the demoversion which
- displays the aboutbox, has been increased from
- 20 min. to 4 hours.
-
- - There has been put in an intial popup welcome-
- screen which informs about how to register, on the
- demoversion.
