  6. SuperMenu. Popup access to the Win95 StartMenu.
  7. SuperMenu is a poupup-menu which makes it possible to
  8. select the Win95 StartMenu button from wherever the hand is
  9. at the moment when clicking the right mouse-button
  10. (alternate mouse-button).

  13. Installation

  16. Download/copy/place SuperMenu files (look further down)
  17. to wherever you like.
  18. All the files must stay in the same directory.
  19. Works right away.
  20. No extra installation needed.
  21. Suggested storing directory: c:\suprmenu
  22. SuperMenu does not touch other Win95 files.

  24. GOOD IDEA: Look up on how to get a program to start
  25. automatically when starting win95. Do that for SuperMenu.
  26. It is basically done by putting a ShortCut to where SuperMenu
  27. is stored (like c:\suprmenu) in the
  28. startup directory (like c:\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp)
  29. This way you don't have to manually start it every time
  30. you start win95.

  32. programs tab.

  60. Also easy access to much used windows functions like
  61. Close(Exit)/Minimize/Maximize/Restore.
  62. Options for setting SuperMenu active, not active,
  63. enable or disable windows functions from the SuperMenu 
  64. popupmenu like Close(Exit)/Minimize/Maximize/Restore and
  65. selecting between a larger popupmenu or a smaller popupmenu.
  66. All the options can be set thru the systemmenu of the
  67. active supermenu program. This is accessible thru the
  68. systemtaskbar and clicking the right-button (alternate
  69. mouse-button) on top of the active supermenu icon.

  71. The FREESPOT menuentry: It is simply a menuentry which can be
  72. clicked on and which removes the menu.
  73. It's a safe place to click, which doesn't produce any action, other
  74. than removing the popup menu.

  77. Known anomalies

  80. If the autohide option is selcted for the systemtaskbar, then
  81. supermenu needs to flash the systemtaskbar during the time
  82. when the Win95 StartMenu is displayed. The systemtaskbar will
  83. disappear after the Win95 StartMenu is no longer displayed.

  109. - Tried to come up with a better solution when
  110. SuperMenu pops up close to screen-borders.
  111. Instead of popping up in the middle of the screen,
  112. SuperMenu now pops up above the cursorpostion if
  113. close to screen-borders. If cursorposition is
  114. in one of the four screen-corners, then SuperMenu
  115. pops up below or above the actual cursorposition.
  116. This is done so that the SuperMenu popup doesn't
  117. collide with a possible context-menu.

  119. - It is now possible to train SuperMenu in such a way
  120. so that SuperMenu does not get activated on top of
  121. certain areas/windows. This is done by keeping down
  122. the Shift and Control key on the keyboard at the same
  123. time as clicking the right-mousebutton (alternate mouse-
  124. button). Then, a dialogbox shows up with information which
  125. identifies the window the cursor was on top of before
  126. the dialogbox where displayed. The user will then be able
  127. to disable SuperMenu activity on top of this window.
  128. It is also possible to enable SuperMenu activity on top
  129. of a windows which was previously disabled.
  130. It is possible to disable SuperMenu activity on top
  131. of as many as 10 areas/windows.

  133. - The timerintervall on the demoversion which
  134. displays the aboutbox, has been increased from 
  135. 20 min. to 4 hours.

  137. - There has been put in an intial popup welcome-
  138. screen which informs about how to register, on the
  139. demoversion.
