  1. Boot Manager 95 Version 1.1a

  3. Boot Manager is a utility to allow you to easily configure your Windows 95 bootup options.
  4. Windows 95 has configurable boot options that are only documented in the Windows 95 Resource
  5. Kit.  This program allows you to change these options without having to purchase the
  6. Resource Kit.

  8. The boot options are stored in the MSDOS.SYS file in the root folder of you boot drive.
  9. It is a user configurable file that allows the user to enable various boot options that
  10. range from booting to a previous version of an operating system (providing there is one
  11. which is not always the case in an OEM setup), to setting an optional path to a
  12. Windows directory other than the default established during setup.

  14. Boot Manager 95 allows you to change only the boot options (for obvious reasons!).

  28. Installation
  29. ------------
  30. Installation is really simple; Just create a folder for Boot Manager and copy BOOTMNGR.EXE,
  31. TABPRO.VBX, THREED.VBX and README.DOC to it.

  34. System requirements
  35. -------------------
  36. This Application was designed to run only under Windows 95.  It will not run under
  37. Windows 3.0, 3.1, 3.11, Windows for Workgroups or Windows NT.

  39. NOTE: This application also requires the file "VBRUN300.DLL" to be located in 
  40.       your "windows\system" Directory in order to load and run correctly.

  42.       If you don't have this file it can be found on most PC related forums on compuserve.

  45. Usage
  46. -----
  47. To start Boot Manager, double click on the BOOTMNGR.EXE file from within Explorer or specify
  48. the BOOTMNGR.EXE file in the RUN dialog, accessible from the Start menu on the task bar.

  50. To use Boot Manager select the tab that contains the setting(s) you want to change and
  51. check or uncheck the option.  Most of the options are self-explanatory, and instant help
  52. is given on screen, for all available options.
