TreeSize Professional is a powerful and flexible harddisk space manager for
Windows 95 and Windows NT4. Find out which folders are the largest on your
drives and recover Megabytes on it. Treesize Professional shows you the size,
allocated and wasted space, the number of files, 3D bar and pie charts, the
last access date and much more information for several folders or drives you
choose. The application has an intutive Explorer-like user interface and it
is fast and multithreaded. You can print detailed reports or export the
collected Data to Excel or an ASCII file. TreeSize Pro can be started from the
context menu of every folder or drive.


INSTALLATION
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Call Setup.exe and follow the instructions. It is possible to uninstall
TreeSize Professional via Control Panel/Software.


COPYRIGHT

TreeSize Professional is Shareware, that means you can try it and distribute
the complete archive. If you decide to use it, you must register. Look in the
help file for registration information.

BUGS AND LIMITATIONS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please report errors and problems to the author if you find one.
Here's a list of known bugs and problems:

* Direct export into Excel 95 will only work, if the default language for
  OLE Automation in Excel 95 is english. All localized versions (e.g. german
  or french) have localized OLE commands, that means I need to know frnech
  or chinese OLE commands to Automate the localized versions. I'm not sure
  if I will find a solution for this problem. But It works fine with all
  versions of Excel 97.
* If no printer is installed, the Delphi Runtime Library sometimes raises an
  exception and tells you, that no default printer is selected. I'm unable to
  fix this, because it comes out of the precompiled delphi libs. But you can
  install a Postscript printer (for example Apple Laserwriter Select) and
  connect it to FILE:. Then the Delphi runtime library finds a default printer
  and you can produce Postscript files if you want.

Version 1.0 (final release): Published on May 27 1997
* Removed error which sometimes occured when removing a folder from the
  Treesize Professioanl window
* Some small changes

Version 1.0 beta 6: Published on May 20 1997
* There is now an option to turn off error messages during scanning. This is e.g.
  useful when scanning a server disk without having read access to all folders.
* The context menu of every root node in the tree now gives you the ability to
  expand the tree to a certain level.
* This will be the last beta version.

* The Detailed List has a new column, which shows the last access date.
  Great new feature to find old and unused files or to clean up the windows dir
* The formatinng of the list is done in a thread now
* The <Del>-Key in the detailed list view deletes a file/folder
* Double clicking on a folder now produces the same result like in the explorer
* If a filter is applied, only those files are listed in the detailed list,
  which match to this filter
* Corrected problem with export to Excel 95 (english version)
* The bold factor is saved now
* Corrected a sorting bug and some other small bugs

* I purchased the new version of the charting component.
  - it is a single DLL now, no files need to be copied to Windows dir
  - faster download and much faster application start
  - some new charting features
* Multiple filters are allowed now in the options dialog
* Big folders are labeled with a bold font now. In the options
  dialog you can configure, when a folder is big.
* Extended help file, especially for the options dialog
* Size and wasted space are shown together in the bar chart
* Values in the tree are updated, when a folder is deleted
* *.zif folders are excluded. If you use the software Zip Folders,
  you get wrong results otherwise
* Excel export now works with Excel 97 (all international versions)
* Fixed two bugs on ACSII export (missing lines, I/O Exception)
* Several small bug fixes and enhancements

* All files in a folder are displayed in the list-view, not just <Files>
* Graph settings are saved completely
* Clicking on a column header will sort the list according this column
* Fixed bug with too small charts in printout
* Volume name is printed in the reports
* Alignment of the labels considers the font size
* Some small bugs fixed

* It is possible to show a toolbar for the charts, so you can manipulate
  them in different ways and change colors or patterns

Version 1.0 beta 1: Published on Jan 20 1997
This Version is based on the Freeware Utility TreeSize. Functions Added:
* It is possible to save the scanned Data to a file, copy it to the clipboard
  or export it directly into Excel
* 3D bar and pie charts can be displayed or printed
* Details (size, allocated, wasted, percent, files) can be viewed together
* Multiple Folders can be scanned multithreaded in the same window
* Values are displayed in the form: 1,234,567.0 kb. The number of decimals
  is configurable
