  4. reproducing sounds) which molecularizes and atomizes, ionizes sound  
  5. matter, and harnesses a cosmic energy. if this machine must have an  
  6. assemblage it is the synthesizer. by assembling modules, source elements,  
  7. and elements for treating sound (oscillators, generators and transformers)  
  8. by arranging microintervals, the synthesizer makes audible the production  
  9. process itself and puts us into contact with still other elements beyond  
  10. sound matter. it unites disparate elements in the material and transposes  
  11. the parameters from one formula to another. the synthesizer with its  
  12. operation of consistency has taken the place of the ground in a priori
  13. synthetic judgement: its synthesis is of the molecular and the cosmic,
  14. material and force, not forma and matter, ground and territory. philosphy
  15. is not longer synthetic judgement; it is like a thought synthesizer  
  16. functioning to make thought travel, make it mobile, make it a force of the  
  17. cosmos (in the same way as one makes sound travel)."
