  32. All files have been updated in some way since FAR .96 (piece of junk) except
  33. the example song and samples, so check them out!!

  35. addendum.doc : Additions to the dox since the last version.
  36. alphtest.txt : Notes during alpha testing; i figure this might come in handy.
  37.                It's viewable from within FAR if you use ALT-? and put it in the
  38.                same directory as FAR.EXE
  39. dif.nfo      : Info on digital infinity and contacting info
  40. do1.exe      : ad for Digital Oxygene BBS which has, BTW, closed :(
  41. f2rspec.txt  : specs on the .F2R format used in DI demos
  42. f3rform.txt  : tentative specs on the upcoming .F3R mega-format
  43. far.doc      : Old, outdated docs on FAR. Still useful, though.
  44. far.exe      : The actual EXE file. Wow, smaller that .96 but better.
  45. far_reg.doc  : Registration information for Farandole.
  46. far_upd.doc  : Docs on getting updates to FAR.
  47. file.c       : The file.c module from FAR (actual code) for examples on using
  48.                FAR's many and varied file formats. This also shows how far
  49.                converts each format into its own internal format; this might
  50.                help if you are making a generic player (most are these days).
  51. files.txt    : This file.
  52. file_id.diz  : gee i dunno george.
  53. formats.doc  : Docs on FAR file formats. Kinda old but really they shouldn't
  54.                have changed so no biggy.
  55. help.txt     : Help file used IN FAR. Please keep this file in the same
  56.                directory as FAR.EXE if you want online help.
  57. musicon.exe  : Music Connection ad #1
  58. note.100     : Some notes on unfinished features that were meant to be put
  59.                into this one.
  60. progad*.exe  : Ads. Living legend ;) (not!)
  61. readme.1st   : Do it.
  62. sample*.fsm  : Example sample files (read far.doc for a great tutorial)
  63. table.c      : Tables/structs that might be useful in writing a far player
  64. thunddrm.far : Guess what. :)
  65. tmc.exe      : The latest and greatest BBS ad from DI. Full protected mode ASM,
  66.                vector dots, sinus scroller, all in 9.6k.
  67. trak.c       : Tracking routines from FAR (actually used). Helps you to write
  68.                your own player. Once you see how screwy FAR's playing code is
  69.                you'll see why the files are weird to handle.
  70. update.txt   : Changes since the last version of far. Getting quite big these
  71.                days..
