  18. Before you start the installation procedure, be sure you have the 'vbrun300.dll' 
  19. file in your /WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory. We have choosen not to include this file,
  20. as 90% of users already have dozens of copies of this file. If you don't have
  21. it, check your local BBS or Internet FTP site.

  23. 1. Unzip the ZIP file to a temporary directory on your harddisk.
  24.  
  25. 2. Using the file manager, double-click 'setup.exe'.
  26.  
  27. 3. The program installs itself. The program will automatically replace
  28.    existing *.DLL and *.VBX files in your WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory IF
  29.    the existing version is older than the one that comes with
  30.    Tropical Reader for Windows. It checks the version number of the
  31.    files during installation.
  32.  
  33.    Necessary Program Groups will be created by the program.
  34.  
  35. If you want to manually install the program, you can use the EXPAND.EXE
  36. program that comes with Windows 3.1 from the DOS prompt.
  37.  
  38.    The syntax is:
  39.     expand  filename.dl_ c:\windows\system\filename.dll

  67. The installation program will only replace identical files where the 
  68. internal version number of the existing file (not the date) is older
  69. than the installation file. All supplementary files are the latest
  70. available versions.

  72. Future Upgrades:
  73. ----------------
  74. The latest build of Tropical Reader for Windows (with reported bug
  75. fix'es) will be available from http://taygate.cl.au.ac.th/web/miron/
  76. and later from our own WEB-site (to be announced shortly). If you
  77. have already installed the program, you just need to download the
  78. upgrade files and replace old files with the newer ones.
