  1. This is the second patch to TFX. It requires the first patch
  2. to be already installed. This is the announcement message
  3. on CIX:

  9. Uploaded is tfxpat_2.zip which is a new version of TFX you must have the
  10. floppy based version of TFX that has been patched by the tfxpat_1.zip
  11.  
  12. Ammendments for version 2.0 of T.F.X 21/2/94
  13.  
  14. 1.All measurements are now standardized as not-metric.
  15. i.e lb's not kg's & miles not km's.
  16.  
  17. 2.Separate support for G.U.S card sound effects.
  18. SBOS.exe is still needed for music.
  19.  
  20. 3.Engine sound now does not stutter.
  21.  
  22. 4.Option for mixer settings to be left alone for the
  23. sound blaster card.
  24.  
  25. 5.Cannon now limits to 1760 rounds.
  26.  
  27. 6.Adlib selection now works. (previously ADLIB would only
  28. work if sound blaster was selected)
  29.  
  30. 7.W.C.S I configuration file included.

  32. 8.Selection of next/previous waypoint.

  36. 9.Realism menu now saves out.

  40. 11.shift q key has been standardized. It now gives the
  41. option to quit to DOS or return to enrol.

  43. 12.There is now a definable joystick sensitivity in game.

  45. 13.BINGO message now comes on at 500lb fuel.

  47. 14.Some screen glitches on Paradise W.D cards & some other
  48. local bus cards are now fixed.

  50. 15.Air to Air canon predictor on the HUD. Target on a plane.
  51. Then using the planes speed, heading and pitch information
  52. calculates the position that the plane needs to be in for
  53. your canon to make a hit. Place the predictor over the plane
  54. and your canon should hit.

  56. 16.AGM 65D's now use the laser designator to target. They also
  57. lock onto heat emitting ground based mobiles.
  58.  
  59. 17.CSW now uses laser designator. Also scatters bomblets over
  60. a wider area.
  61.  
  62. 18.Training has to be accomplished only once.
  63.  
  64. 19.Weapon select selects next weapons as opposed to next pylon.
  65.  
  66. 20.Config.exe gives the option to select the settings on
  67. your sound blaster card. i.e IRQ, address etc.
  68.  
  69. 21.You can change the brightness of the HUD display using
  70. the Y and U keys.
