  1. Madden NFL(tm) Football 1.1 readme (10/23/96)

  3. NOTE!
  4. If you use remote play you must patch both players machines for the
  5. game to work. Make sure that both remote players install the patch 
  6. before initiating a remote game.
  7.  
  8. This patch will fix the problem where the QB/RB/TE will freeze or run
  9. in place after the snap. This problem was caused by low framerate machines.
  10. It will also enable you to update your NFL(tm) rosters in the game. You will
  11. need to download the rosters seperately from our web site (EA.COM). These
  12. will be updated weekly starting this week.

  19. From DOS:
  20. -Copy/Download the file MADPATCH.EXE to the directory where Madden NFL(tm) 97
  21.         is installed (I.E. C:\MADDEN).
  22. -Type MADPATCH (this is a self extracting archive file).
  23. -Type PATCH (this will extract the required files for the patch update).

  25. From Windows 95:
  26. -From the Explorer, drag the file MADPATCH.EXE to the directory where Madden
  27.         NFL(tm) 97 is installed (I.E. C:\MADDEN).
  28. -Double-click on the file MADPATCH.EXE (this is a self extracting archive).
  29. -Double-click on the file PATCH.BAT (this will extract the required files
  30.         for the patch update).

  32. If for some reason the files don't get copied to the required destination,
  33. you can manually extract the files to their respective directories. To do
  34. this (must be within game root directory):
