  29.   This is the second edition of our PLEX-CD. All categories
  30.   are equipped with Files.bbs. Therefore the CD is already
  31.   prepared for insertion in Bulletin Board Systems.

  65. *What is Shareware?

  70.   SHAREWARE is a software, for which the author when using it regulary,
  71.   receives a fee in return from the user. The concept for shareware was
  72.   born in the US and due to this new distribution system becoming very
  73.   quickly, wide spread and successful also in europ. This is a great
  74.   advantage for the author due to the many uses obtainable through his
  75.   program. The minimal costs involved for advertising and distribution
  76.   allow the programs to be registered with the author for a very small
  77.   licence fee.
  78.   For each shareware version, you shouldn`t pay more than 6 $ per disc.
  79.   In case you do pay more, you should look for a new shareware dealer,
  80.   other wise they, will possibly become rich at your expenses.

  82.   The satisfied user is registered with the author, that enables him to
  83.   pay the lowest possible purchase price. At the same time he will ob-
  84.   tain a license for the product entitling him to obtain information
  85.   about improved versions, and possibly advice per telephone.
  86.   Shareware deals mostly with software, although it is not comparable
  87.   with commercial software, partly because the program performs
  88.   substaintially better, but, for a more reasonable price.

  90.   The shareware-concept functions only when you, as the user, are fair,
  91.   This will motivate him to maintain the program and pay him regulary
  92.   for his hard work. This will motivate him to maintain the programm

  100.   Public Domain are programes that are free to copy. It is the authors
  101.   intensions that these programmes receive a wide distribution.

  103.   Therefore its desireable that only a small fee is charged for copying
  104.   the program.
  105.   PD programs will be copied in case there are no distributors found for
  106.   them.  In  some  cases  the  authors are non-commercial or scientific
  107.   institutions who won't charge any fees.  In  most  cases  the  author
  108.   indicates in the program or in the documentation that he would like to
  109.   have a little finacial support to improve his developments.

  116.   Freeware are all programs, that on particular conditions, are free
  117.   to be distributed for license-free exploation use.

  124.   Please notice that all the programes contained on the CD-ROM, are not
  125.   able to run directly on the CD-ROM drive. All programes are avaiable
  126.   in a compressed form and are decompressed during the copy process.
  127.   Furthermore, most of the programes need information about their hardware
  128.   and sofware environment, therefore they should be installed first. This
  129.   is not possible on a CD-ROM drive. We have developed a comfortable
  130.   menu system to simplify installation and copying. This menu system
  131.   will help you to copy the programes on your hard disc or floppy disc.

  137.   The main menu offers the option to choose one of the directories with
  138.   the blue choose bar. The dialog windows below show the contents and
  139.   description of each selected directory.

  167.   Should you find a directory that interests you, select it with the
  168.   [RETURN] key or per mouse double click, and you'll come to another
  169.   window where specific programes from the directory will be shown.

  200.   The next step is to choose a program you see and want to copy onto your
  201.   hard disc. This can be activated again with the [RETURN] key or the
  202.   mouse double click.

  204.   Now you have two windows avaiable:

  206.   In the RIGHT window the contents of the selected ZIP-file.

  208.   In the LEFT window the contents of your hard disc temp-directory
  209.   will be shown.

  418.   After the confirmation of the input, a new directory will be recorded,
  419.   and you will find yourself in the new created directory.
