  5. WELCOME
  6.  
  7. Welcome to Fractal Design Expression.  This document contains important 
  8. information about this version.
  9.  
  10. Expression is still in beta test and as such should be used with caution. 
  11. You may find some instability performing certain functions, features that 
  12. may not work as well as they should, and some screen redraw anomalies. We 
  13. suggest you save often to avoid potential frustration. We do feel however 
  14. that you will be able to do significant work with this version.

  16. INSTALLATION
  17.  
  18. Either use the Autorun feature on this CD to install Expression, or double-click 
  19. on the Setup file and follow the instructions.
  20.  
  21. The installation only includes a small subset of the available strokes in 
  22. Expression. To make more strokes available within the Stroke Warehouse copy 
  23. any of the other directories or strokes included in the STROKES directory on 
  24. the CD into the Strokes directory located in the Expression directory on your 
  25. hard disk. The next time you launch Expression those strokes will become available.

  27. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  28.  
  29. Expression is designed specifically to run on Windows 95, Windows NT 3.51 and 
  30. Windows NT 4.0.  You can install Expression on a Windows 3.1 based PC, but 
  31. performance may suffer.
  32. Expression for Windows requires a 486, Pentium or Pentium Pro PC with a minimum 
  33. of 16MB of RAM, and  a CD-ROM player.

  35. BETA DOCUMENTATION

  37. If you did not receive any printed documentation with your beta copy of Expression 
  38. an Adobe Acrobat file is included in a documentation folder on the CD. You can open 
  39. this with any PDF reader to review the documentation.

  43. The Help system is not currently working in this version.
  44.  
  45. BUG REPORTS
  46.  
  47. If you discover significant and reproducible bugs or hardware incompatibilities, 
  48. please report them via e-mail only to qa@fractal.com. To be useful we will need to 
  49. have your hardware configuration, and the exact steps needed to reproduce your bugs. 
  50. Unfortunately we will not be able to respond directly to each bug report. But we do 
  51. thank you in advance for your efforts.
