  3.                           INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  8. Welcome to Internet VoiceChat Version 1.1, a unique program for PC's with
  9. WinSock.  IVC allows two users to conduct a live voice conversation over the
  10. Internet, right from their PC's!  Much effort has been devoted to making 
  11. Internet VoiceChat as easy to use and user-friendly as possible.

  13. You will find two .ZIP files included on this disk, IVC.ZIP and WINSYS.ZIP.
  14.  
  15. First, make a directory on your hard drive called \IVC.  Unzip the IVC.ZIP 
  16. file into this directory.
  17.  
  18. Next, change to your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory and unzip the WINSYS.ZIP file.
  19. This archive contains the Visual Basic runtime module as well as some custom
  20. controls that are required by the main IVC.EXE program.
  21.  
  22. IMPORTANT: If your WINSYS.ZIP file does not contain VBRUN300.DLL, you will
  23. have to obtain this file separately (if you don't have it already).  Some
  24. common FTP sites for this file are:
  25.          winftp.cica.indiana.edu: pub/pc/win3/util/vbrun300.exe
  26.          freebsd.cdrom.com: /.8/cdrom/cdroms/windows/vbrun300.dll

  29. Finally, start Windows and add the file \IVC\IVC.EXE to the program
  30. group of your choice.  Specify the startup directory so IVC can find its
  31. help file.

  33. You are now ready to click the Internet VoiceChat icon and initiate a voice
  34. conversation over the Net!  See the help file for details, and good luck!
