  3. This directory contains the configuration for the hypothetical site
  4. "bargw", which is a gateway for the hypothetical domain FOO.COM, and
  5. the subdomain BAR.FOO.COM.  See ../README for more details on how this
  6. site fits into these domains.

  8. The files and directories here are:
  9.  
  10. config        The global-variable configuration file used by smail.
  11.  
  12. directors    The configuration file used by smail for resolving
  13.         local addresses given to bargw.
  14.  
  15. routers        The configuration file used for routing hostnames in
  16.         remote addresses given to bargw.
  17.  
  18. transports    The configuration file used by smail to define the
  19.         possible means of transporting mail messages to remote
  20.         machines, or for delivering mail messages to local
  21.         uses.
  22.  
  23. aliases        A sample aliases file for use by bargw.
  24.  
  25. forward        A sample forwarding database for use in forwarding to
  26.         users in the BAR.FOO.COM subdomain.  See ../README for
  27.         more details on what this is for.

  29. methods/table    A sample method file, which is shared by most of the
  30.         routers described in the router file.
  31.  
  32. lists/        A sample directory of mailing list files.  New mailing
  33.         lists can be created simply by creating files in this
  34.         directory.
  35.  
  36. lists/owner/    A directory containing owner addresses for the various
  37.         mailing lists in the lists/ directory.
  38.  
  39. lists/request/    A directory of request addresses for the various
  40.         mailing lists in the lists/ directory.
  41.  
  42. maps/        A directory of makefiles and sample files for
  43.         constructing the path databases
  44.  
  45. maps/README    This file contains more detailed information about the
  46.         maps/ directory.
  47.  
  48. news/        Shows how bargw extracts USENET map entries from netnews.
