  2. Information about TommCHAT:

  4. TommCHAT 1.2 is a a generic multi-line chat program designed to emulate
  5. existing, familiar chat systems.  It uses a message-by-message interface
  6. rather than the confusing, jerky line-by-line interface included with
  7. most BBSes.  Messages are colour coded for clarity.  Private messages
  8. are displayed in ~Fmagenta/purple~H. Public messages are displayed in ~Olight
  9. cyan~H.  Your own typing is displayed in ~Gdark cyan~H.  Other messages
  10. including system broadcasts and /m user messages are displayed in
  11. various colours (and may include ANSi and IBM codes and characters!).
