  59.       Welcome to VBBS Version 6.12 and thank you for taking time
  60.       to read this documentation.
  61.  
  62.       This document is a complement to the VBBS HyperText document-
  63.       ation included on the distribution diskette, but is organized
  64.       by chapter instead of by topic, and formatted for continuous
  65.       printing.
  66.  
  67.       This document, as well as the VBBS HyperText document, covers
  68.       both the QB4.5 DOS and the PDS7.1 OS/2 versions of VBBS since
  69.       features and setup are virtually identical. Where differences
  70.       do exist between versions, these are clearly pointed out.

  95.       This is a DEMO version of the Virtual Bulletin Board System,
  96.       copyright (c) 1993 Roland De Graaf and distributed by Virtual
  97.       Technologies.  VBBS is not Public Domain software, Freeware,
  98.       nor Shareware.  You may use an unregistered VBBS for evaluation
  99.       purposes only for no more than sixty (60) days.  After this period
  100.       you must register VBBS or discontinue usage. On registering,
  101.       you enter into a License Agreement with Virtual Technologies
  102.       for continued usage of the program. Before ordering, please read
  103.       the License Agreement.

  117.                         LICENSE AGREEMENT

  119.       TERM
  120.       This license is effective until terminated.  You may terminate
  121.       it at any time by destroying all copies of the Software covered
  122.       by this Agreement.  It will also terminate upon conditions set
  123.       forth elsewhere in this Agreement or if you fail to comply with
  124.       any term or condition of this Agreement.  You agree upon such
  125.       termination to destroy this Software, including all copies,
  126.       functionally-equivalent derivatives, and all portions and mod-
  127.       ifications thereof in any form.

  129.       LIMITED WARRANTY
  130.       This Software is provided 'as is' without warranty of any kind,
  131.       either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the
  132.       implied warranties of merchantability, and fitness for a
  133.       particular purpose. The entire risk as to the quality and
  134.       performance of this Software is with you, should the Software prove
  135.       defective, you (not Virtual Technologies) assume the entire cost of
  136.       all necessary servicing, repair, or correction.  Virtual Technologies
  137.       does not warrant that the functions contained in the Software will
  138.       meet your requirements or that the operation of the Software will be
  139.       uninterrupted or error free.  However, Virtual Technologies does
  140.       warrant the diskette on which the Software is furnished to be free
  141.       from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a
  142.       period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase.  Virtual
  143.       Technologies entire liability and your exclusive remedy shall the
  144.       replacement of any diskette not meeting Virtual Technlogies "Limited
  145.       Warranty" and which is returned to Virtual Technologies.  In no event
  146.       will Virtual Technologies be liable to you for any damages, including
  147.       any lost profits, lost savings or other incidental or consequential
  148.       damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Software
  149.       even if Virtual Technologies or its authorized representative has
  150.       been advised of the possibility of such damages, or for any claim
  151.       by any other party. Some states do not allow the limitation or
  152.       exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so
  153.       the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.  This
  154.       warranty gives you specific rights and you may also have other rights
  155.       which vary from state to state or within foreign countries.

  158.       You may not sublicense, assign, or otherwise transfer this License
  159.       or Software except as expressly provided in this Agreement.  Any
  160.       attempt to otherwise sublicense, assign, or transfer any of the

  162.       and will terminate this Agreement.  All Agreements covering this
  163.       Software (including but not limited to any and all updates,
  164.       upgrades, and enhancements to this Software or any portion thereof,
  165.       bearing the same registration number) shall be deemed to be
  166.       counterparts of one and the same License Agreement instrument.
  167.       By installing or using this software, you acknowledge that you have
  168.       read this agreement, understand it, and agree to be bound by its
  169.       terms and conditions.  You further agree that it is the complete
  170.       exclusive statement of this Agreement between us, which supercedes
  171.       any proposal or prior agreement, oral or written, and any other
  172.       communications betrween us relating to the subject matter of this
  173.       Agreement.
