- │ !!!!! READ THIS FILE ENTIRELY BEFORE RUNNING GRAFX2 !!!!! │
- └────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
-
- If you are reading this file right now, I'm sure that it is for one of these
- four reasons:
-
- 1) You are THE ONE who first reads README.1ST files before running programs.
-
- 2) Today is a rainy day and you've already finished all the games you've...
- "purchased". So you have nothing else to do that reading this damn file.
-
- 3) You had the quite good reflex (for someone who did not read this file) to
- switch off your PC before your monitor burns.
-
- 4) You have burnt your monitor because you didn't read this file first. And
- you now have all the time to read it on your neighbour's computer before
- you can buy another monitor.

-
- So here is what you must know about GrafX 2 before running it:
-
-
- Video problems:
- ===============
-
- - This program provides a huge range of video resolutions. All these reso-
- lutions may not work with your monitor or video card. This should result by
- your monitor to whistle and stay black or display shit.
- So we added a keyboard shortcut for you to come back to a normal resolu-
- tion (MCGA 320x200). The default keys for this shortcut are [Shift]+[Return].
- But, since you can configure all the keys with GFXCFG, you should check its
- actual value by running this setup program.
-
- Note that we take no responsability for any problems you could encounter
- with GrafX 2.
-
-
- Problems with the keys?:
- ========================
-
- - The button in the bottom-left corner of the tool-bar (the one with a cross)
- was designed to hide the tool-bar. But, the danger with this button is that,
- if you don't know the key to have it back, you'll be in trouble :).
- The default key is [F10] but check it in the setup program.
-
- - The default key for exiting the program is [Q] (for QWERTY keyboards).
- This will be useful if you don't remember how to show the tool-bar.
-
- - The key-configuration program displays the values for QWERTY keyboards.
- So if you have an AZERTY keyboard for example, and want to use your true Q
- key for quitting, don't worry if the program displays A.
-
- - Though keys are designed for QWERTY keyboards, "typing areas" will read
- the key-codes of your country. For example, when you'll have to enter a file
- name, you'll get what you type (cool! :)).
-
- For people who would like to get directly the AZERTY equivalent of the
- default configuration file, we have added the GFX2_FRA.CFG file. Then you'll
- just have to rename it to GFX2.CFG (great!) ;).
-
- ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- OK! Now you can use and abuse of this program!
