   ocr: Tuning the Guitar (1of3) The easiest way to tune your guitar is with the built-in automatic tuner, which can be brought up by selecting "Tuner" from the Tools menu. You use it by playing the open strings of your guitar into a microphone hooked up to your computer. The automatic tuner detects the pitch and draws a red upward pointing arrow at a location based on the detected pitch. When the arrow lines up with the mark on the screen corresponding to the string you are tuning, that string is in tune.
