  2.            Availability notice for YowZa! PM Screen Saver v1.33

  5.         YowZa! is a screen saver for OS/2 Presentation Manager.  What is a
  6. screen saver, you ask?  Many, if not all of us have a tube on our desk which
  7. sometimes is left on while we are out of the office for a moment, at lunch,
  8. in the restroom, whatever.  If the screen remains constant for too long, the
  9. phosphor that coats the inside of the front of the tube starts to retain
  10. a sort of copy of what's on the screen - the image gets "burned in."
  11. While this may not be a big deal for cheap inexpensive monitors, I for one
  12. don't want to ruin my 8514 this way (a cup of tea through the top would be more
  13. exciting!)  What a screen saver does is detect when you've left the machine
  14. unattended and when you have, blanks the screen to help preserve the tube.

  20.   BTW, the because the documentation is growing somewhat, I've placed the .DOC
  21.   file inside the YOWZA.RAMBIN file.

  23.   For this release, I've used the latest SAVERAM.EXE from PC/OS2TOOLS.  To
  24.   avoid unpacking problems, please use this version of SAVERAM (dated
  25.   10/17/90).
