ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. Help for Remote IPL System Change Utility ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Use this window to access a different operating system once. The change will
only be in effect for the next time the workstation is started.
For example, you have been using the OS/2* system, but you want to remote IPL a
reference diskette or run an occasionally used DOS application that does not
run under DOS on an OS/2 system. You can use this utility to have DOS loaded
the next time you start your workstation.
Select OS/2 to use the OS/2 system the next time this workstation is started.
Select DOS to use the DOS system the next time this workstation is started.
If you selected OS/2, the selection list contains the FITs that are available
for this workstation. If you select DOS, the list contains the DOS images that
are available for this workstation.
To make an alternate boot selection, select the desired operating system, then
select the new OS/2 FIT or DOS image, and select Change. The window displays
the name of the server that will handle the remote IPL request the next time
you start the workstation.
