  1. ICPAIND is an OS/2 PM-based application for configuring IBM Industrial
  2. Computer hardware and software.

  4. IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  6. THIS IS NOW A 32-BIT APPLICATION
  7.  
  8. YOUR SAVED CONFIGURATIONS (*.CFF) FROM THE 16-BIT VERSION WILL NOT    
  9. WORK WITH THE 32-BIT VERSION AND VICE VERSA.

  11. YOU CAN NOW SPECIFY THE LOCATION FOR SAVED CONFIGURATIONS AND THE SAVED
  12. SETTINGS FILE (ICPA.PRM) USING THE FOLLOWING IN THE PARAMETER FIELD OF THE
  13. DESKTOP SETTINGS:

  15.   Parameters: -a C:\
  16.  
  17. WHERE -a WILL SAVE A TEXT FILE WITH THE EXTENSION *.CF2 WHENEVER YOU SAVE A
  18. CONFIGURATION AS A CONFIGURATION OR TEXT.  -sC:\, WILL SAVE THE ICPA.PRM AND
  19. ALL SAVED FILES TO THE DISK/PATH IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE -s.  THE C:\ IS ONLY
  20. AN EXAMPLE.  IT COULD BE -sE:\MYCNFGS OR WHEREVER YOU WANT.  THIS WILL BE
  21. HELPFUL FOR LAN PUBLIC APPLICATION SETUPS.

  23. THIS PACKAGE MAY BE COPIED BUT ALL FILES, INCLUDING TEXT FILES MUST
  24. BE INCLUDED AND NOT MODIFIED IN ANY WAY.  NO FEE CAN BE CHARGED FOR

  45.                PRCP04V.HLP must be renamed to PRCP04.HLP to be used

  47. INSTCNFG WILL ONLY INSTALL 32-BIT CODE

  50. You may now use the file: INSTCNFG to install ICPAIND on an OS/2 2.X system.
  51. INSTCNFG is a REXX program that will unpack the necessary files and will
  52. optionally create a folder and program icons.  This install exec will ONLY
  53. work on an OS/2 2.X system with REXX installed.
  54. You may use this exec for all updates also, but remember to answer Q to the
  55. prompt about creating the icons or you will get additional folders created
  56. for you.
  57. Remember to download the INSTCNFG and the EXEBIN files to the same directory
  58. in order for proper operation.  I have tested this exec in the following
  59. environments:
  60.                  OS/2 2.0 GA code without Service Pack
  61.                  OS/2 2.0 GA code with Service Pack
  62.                  OS/2 2.0 GA code without Service Pack and PS+
  63.                  OS/2 2.0 GA code with Service Pack and PS+
  64.                  OS/2 2.1 Beta (March and May)

  68. To create a program entry for OS/2 2.X, drag a program template from the
  69. template folder.  Enter the information given above into the settings      
  70. notebook that pops up and then close the notebook.  Another method to      
  71. create the program entry would be to use the Migrate Programs application  
  72. tool that can be found in the Systems Setup folder.  The Systems Setup     
  73. folder can be found in the OS/2 System folder on the OS/2 2.0 Desktop.
