The Significance Calculator is my first step towards PM programming.
As such bugs or programming errors are not quite unlikely. Use it
completely at your own risk. In no way shall I be liable for any
damages whatsoever to software or hardware. By using this program
you agree to theese conditions.
The purpose of the program is to quickly calculate the significance
level of a measurement or experiment without having to start a huge
statistic package. It works straightaway, the result (Type I Error
= p) reflects always the current parameters. Simply choose the
distribution (standard normal by default), degrees of freedom (only
t, Chi2 and F) and if the test is two-tailed (only normal and t),
enter the value and the result is shown with every digit you enter,
with 8 decimal places. Some of the calculations involve infinite
series that are calculated until the remaining error is less than
5e-9, so the result should be exact +-1 in the last (8th) place.
You are allowed to use this program for free and to distribute it as
long as the original ZIP-file is unchanged and no fee is charged for
it except copying and delivering costs.
