ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. Extended Help for Demonstration ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The Developers Business Graphics Toolkit demostration program provides the
application developer, potential user, or user group with an interactive means
of exploring business graphics implementation alternatives.
The demonstration program provides the program user with the ability to display
a business chart and modify the general appearence of the chart. For example,
the user can change the form of the initial chart (bar chart) to any one of
several other chart types using the View option. The user can change the chart
title, number of data groups, data group legends or general positioning of the
graphic data within a chart using the Edit menu option. The user can also
change the chart dimensions (2-D or 3-D) and the colors of the chart (including
backgrounds or data group colors), in addition to many other items, by
selecting the Options menu option. To exit the program the user need only
press the function key F3.
The business chart is initially presented in the lower left hand corner of the
primary chart window. Below the business chart, the chart's secondary window
location, width and height are presented. This information may be useful
during the program development cycle.
The business chart can be resized using what ever method (i.e. mouse, keys)
feels comfortable.
Help is available by pressing the F1 key from anywhere within the program.
Because this is context sensitive help, the help information displayed depends
on where in the program F1 is selected. For instance, you receive help for the
Options pull-down on the action bar when you highlight Options and press F1.
However, this is not the same help that is displayed when you press F1 while
the Option 1 choice in the Options pull-down is highlighted.
Press Esc at any time to view the previous help window or, if there are no
other help windows, to return to the main Help1 window.
