C-Side, is a functional shareware version of a CD-label & Jewel-case Designer. The only limitations in the shareware contra the registered version is :
The 'nag' screen will not go away for 30 seconds.
Only the first cd-label on a page can be used, either turn the paper over, or redefine the page setup to use the others.
Only the cd-label can be printed.

C-Side does not have any great requirements, all it needs is OS/2 Warp (3 or 4), 16 MB memory (may be able to run on 8, but I wouldn't try) and about 1 MB disk space.

When you have unpacked the *.Zip file, just click twice on C-Side.EXE, and you are running.

This program is shareware, you may try it out for some time, but if you would like to use it for a longer time, please consider registering !
I have invested a lot of time, and energy in this program, so please support your local programmer and register as user of this and other shareware programs !

The following limitations and problems are known :
The program has been tried on an HP DeskJet 890 and on Lexmark Z51. I do not know if it can function with other printers (please let me know !).
There are a minor vertical displacement of texts, when printing, this can show as missing 'below the line' parts of some characters, I do not know how to correct this problem, but I'm working on it !
Only images in the BMP format (os2 & M$ W******), and the GIF format can be used.
For some reason (probably M$ W****** compability in Sibyl) the '&' character will now and then be converted to '~' (always when recalling the text settings)

Some debug code had not been removed in the prior release, this has been corrected.
The tool buttons has been replaced by a toolbar. I know the icons ain't great, but i'm a programmer and not a graphic designer ! If you think you can do any .

Page settings has been extended with a default font settings. These settings are used as default font settings for the text & textarea objects.
Thomas has created a commandfile for registering C-Side on the desktop, this allows you to start C-Side by either double click on the desktop icon, double click on a cd-layout file or by dropping a cd-layout file on the icon. The script is included in the
zip file, and is called Set_C_Side.cmd. Thanks Thomas !

On some computers, the program crashed when printing a design containing text(s). As this was caused by an uninitialized pointer, it could also be the cause of some reports of scrambled font settings when printing.

If one object (ex. background bitmap) had focus, and mouse was moved over border of another object (placed on first object), dragging of border was done on first object (I don't know if you understand this, but it's fixed !)
After load, point size of text was not always right.
New property has been added to text, Normal text, Vertical text - down & Vertical text - up : Text as always (default), text written vertically from top to bottom and text written vertically from bottom to top.
When either of the vertical texts have been selected, vertical and horizontal alignment can only be 'centered', if this is a problem please let me know and we will see.
Save altered to save all three pages, and new text properties
Load has been extended to be able to load both new and old format
