  3. GIF_TEXT ver 1.3a: A Graphical Text Generator
  4.  
  5. GIF_TEXT will create a .GIF file from a 
  6. text string.  GIF_TEXT uses "alphabytes",
  7. collections of character .GIF files.
  8. Several are provided with GIF_TEXT, and 
  9. it's easy to add new ones. Alternatively,
  10. you can use TTF fonts! 
  11. GIF_TEXT can run as an SRE-http addon,
  12. or as a  generic CGI-BIN script, or
  13. from a command prompt.

  15. To install: UNZIP this file to an empty
  16. temporary directory, and read the 
  17. installation section of GIF_TEXT.DOC.
