***********************************************************************
* INTENDED OS: OS/2 2.x or greater *
* FILE: BMPVIEW5.EXE ( The executable ) *
* FILE: BMPVIEW5.DOC ( This file ) *
* FILE: VROBJ.DLL ( You MUST have this file either in your path ) *
* ( or in the same directory as the executable. ) *
* AUTHOR: Pete Graszer *
* CREATION DATE: 04/11/95 *
* PURPOSE: DISPLAYING OF BMP IMAGES VIA OS/2 *
***********************************************************************
DRAG 'N' DROP - 'Drag' any folder and 'drop' it onto the list box and
ALL images in the folder along with any images found
in subdirectories will read in.
DIALOG ENTRIES - Press the Dialog button and your typical OS/2 file
dialog box will appear. Select the directory, the
file, then OK. The selected file(s) will read into
the list box. (You can select more than one file
from this dialog.)
COMMAND LINE - If you like to type the drive & path info instead, you can
select 'Entry Field' from the options menu under Help.
From here the dialog button will be replaced with a
entry field. Type the full path IE: C:\OS2\BITMAP press
<TAB> and the files in that directory will read in.
VIEW WINDOW BUTTON - Once you select the image you want to display, click
on the small window and the image will be displayed.
EXPAND BUTTON - If you want to expand the image to fill the screen just
follow the sign(click on the coyote.) Once displayed,
press <ENTER> or <CLICK> on the BMP to return.
Expanding of images is limited to five times. This
limitation is removed for registered users.
DELETE BUTTON - I have on occation D/L'd some not so great BMPs'. The
delete button does just that, DELETES the BMP. This
button is for registered users and made not available
in the unregistered version.
SECRET $$$ BUTTON - It's somewhere on the screen(s) and well...
IDEAS - I'm thinking of creating a slideshow option but want to wait
to see what kind of response I get. If you want to see it
please send me e-mail and just say something like 'Slide YES.'
I'm also thinking about making this into a multiple icon viewer
where you'd have icons displayed in the small window, say 15
at a time (just another idea.) Again, response will tell!
Problems, questions, comments etc. about this program please contact
