  4. * This is an update of the CODEX executable for those who have already
  5. * downloaded the full CODEX program. If you already have CODEX version
  6. * 0.7 or higher, just replace the old CODEX.EXE and CODEX.HLP files with
  7. * these new ones. If not, YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THE FULL PACKAGE (which
  8. * includes the Bible text) for this program to run. Without the KJV.DAT
  9. * file (or at least some Bible version), it will not do much of anything!

  11. * If you need the full version, get BIBLE_10.ZIP from any popular OS/2
  12. * site. The file BIBLE_10.ZIP includes the Bible data and these newer
  13. * files. If you can't find it, then you may use the data file KJV.DAT
  14. * found in any version of BIBLE_xx.ZIP.

  19. Thank you for taking the time to try Codex, the full-featured Bible con-
  20. cordance designed specifically for OS/2 Warp!
  21.  
  22. Our first Christian OS/2 software product was the WordWise Daily Scripture
  23. Calendar. Though it's also available for Windows, NT, DOS, Mac, Linux &
  24. Amiga, we have received proportionally more support from the OS/2 community
  25. than any other. Many of you wanted a true OS/2 concordance, and in a hurry.
  26. You asked and here it is.

  28. This sixth release, version 1.1, sports an MDI environment, great perform-
  29. ance, and many nice features added as well. Admittedly, it is not up to par
  30. with most high-end Windows programs, but what is implemented so far is done
  31. well, and updates are frequent.

  33. Version 1.1 was released August 21, 1996. For the whole story, choose the
  34. menu item named "Product status" under the Help menu.

  36. To install Codex, just unzip all of the archived files into a directory named
  37. CODEX and run the program. (Again, assuming you already have the KJV.DAT
  38. or NASB.DAT file.) Nothing complicated about that.

  40. While you're at it, why not download WordWise as well? You'll find it at all
  41. the popular OS/2 sites as WW_OS215.ZIP. (The official distribution site is
  42. provided by BMT Micro: ftp.wilmington.net/bmtmicro/ )
