  12. DESCRIPTION
  13.  
  14. The BOOTLOG.TXT file lists drivers and files that WIN-OS/2 loads as it 
  15. starts, and indicates whether each one loaded successfully. It might 
  16. identify problems when WIN-OS/2 does not load from the WIN-OS/2 Full 
  17. Screen icon or from a DOS Full Screen session.

  19. RESOLUTION
  20.  
  21. Add the /b switch to the executable file in a WIN-OS/2 Settings 
  22. notebook, at a DOS Full Screen command prompt, or in the Optional 
  23. Parameters notebook. The BOOTLOG.TXT file is created once and 
  24. constantly appends information to the file each time WIN-OS/2 starts. 
  25. The status includes LoadStart= and LoadSuccess= for drivers, fonts, and 
  26. initialization files.

  28. DOS Full Screen
  29. ---------------
  30. 1. At the C:\ command prompt, type WIN /b and press Enter. This loads
  31.    WIN-OS/2 and creates BOOTLOG.TXT.

  33. 2. Exit WIN-OS/2.

  35. WIN-OS/2 Full Screen Icon
  36. -------------------------
  37. 1. Point at the WIN-OS/2 icon and press mouse button 2 to open the menu.
  38.  
  39. 2. Select the arrow next to Open.
  40.  
  41. 3. Select Settings.
  42.  
  43. 4. Type /b in the Optional Parameters field.
  44.  
  45. 5. Close the Settings notebook.
  46.  
  47. 6. Select the WIN-OS/2 Full Screen icon. This creates BOOTLOG.TXT.

  49. 7. Exit WIN-OS/2
  50.  
  51. Reading BOOTLOG.TXT
  52. -------------------
  53. 1. At a DOS or an OS/2 command prompt, type CD OS2\MDOS\WINOS2 and
  54.    press Enter.

  56. 2. Type TYPE BOOTLOG.TXT | MORE and press Enter.
